Visa:

Individuals should obtain their Valid Passports & visas from the Syrian Embassy or consult in there countries before coming to Syria. In case there is no Syrian Embassy or consult visas can be given directly at the borders.

For groups of 8 Persons or more visa can be given directly at the borders.

Language:

In addition to the official language (Arabic), many Syrians can speak English or French. Some of the educated Syrians are multilingual.

Currency:

The Syrian Pound (called Lira) is divided into 100 Piastres.

The coins are: 1 - 2 – 5, 10 and 25 liras.
